Four duties. One public purpose.

The Jamaica Racing Commission Act gives the Commission a concise statutory brief: govern the sport fairly, license it responsibly and help it develop with integrity.

Strong regulation is not separate from a strong racing industry. It is the condition that makes confidence possible.

Authority, exercised
with restraint.

01

Independent

Decisions are made against the rule, evidence and public duty—not convenience.

02

Explainable

Reasons and standards should be visible to the people affected by them.

03

Proportionate

Regulatory action should match the seriousness and risk of the matter.

04

Accountable

The Commission’s activity and finances belong in an accessible public record.
